Your Shadow

There are things in her heart that she has kept hidden,
Notions she’s had for years that she won’t say.
Between the lines on her face she has written
«I'll wipe the earth of your shadow one fine day»
She utters aloud those words and soon she feels better;
No conflict of conscience to cause a delay.
And all the good and evil within have gathered to beg her
To wipe the earth of his shadow one fine day.
One fine day, I’ll rise up and send you to glory,
Or wherever the good Lord sees fit to put you away.
And then in the end, you were never a friend and you forced me

She’s bought a brand of hate that’s stronger than poison,
