A Path Beyond

Fate’s die is cast
In it’s shadow lies dismay
Against the odds
I face the abstract world of decay
Unsure of the future
Crawl of time, standing still
Infinite questions
I ponder what this life will reveal
Confusion
Forsaken sight, I cannot believe
Fear overcomes those around me
They gaze on in disbelief
Now given a chance
A path beyond fate’s course
A chance at redemption
What I seek lies beyond the door
But what shall I see?!
I’ll learn of the future
Time, bending, to my will
Escape from the past
The purpose of life revealed
My eyes, open, wide
Illusions
Erased from sight, the black veil recedes
My senses returning
The shadow of doubt no longer deceives
