To All Austere

I’m taking the time to become unconfined
(It kills me inside to ignore all the signs)
I tend to look down when I seem to look up
(Just do as your told and please drink from this cup)
The water is poison it destroys your mind
(You ruin mankind and you follow the blind)
This blanket of lies keeps you warm in the night
(You look to the sky to find your reasons why)
Your answers they, seem to betray-I won’t obey
But now I know, seen through your cloak
you are exposed
Your gallows fall, we watch you crawl
The end is near, to all austere
And if their brigades shall begin to take flight
(We'll come together and descend into night)
The smallest voice in the crowd tends to be
(The one to stand up and declare that they’re free)
So don’t look up when you tend to look down
(Just keep your voice high and ascend from the sound)
Know that you’re one but you’re never alone
(They'll always claim that you cast the first stone)
The innocent, are victims in this mindless game
And know you know, seen through their cloak
They are exposed
Their cities burn, and now we’re sure
