The Weasel and the Child

(A little boy wanders in the streets of Sentice. Suddenly his attention is
caught by a movement in the corner of his eye. When he looks closer,
his eye falls on a small, curious creature, scurrying quickly past the houses
As soon as the boy comes closer, the little animal stops and freezes.
It stares at the child, and suddenly runs off again. The boy tries to keep up
with the weasel as it runs through several alleys
On several occasions the weasel disappears from his sight, only to reveal
itself a small distance ahead. Focused on his chase and driven by curiosity,
the little boy completely loses notion of his environment…)
«Standing guard at the bank, he sees the flames grow high across the street
And then he sees the child, clearly in danger. He makes up his mind and leaves
his past behind
And out of nowhere they come, from the shadows, as if they had been waiting for
him to leave the bank unguarded, an easy target
Like vultures they were circling, now the path is free.»
