In Padstow Bay where the mermaids dwell
There’s a bar of sand we compare to hell
Toss you around an unforgiving swell
And it’ll drag you down below
It was put there by a mermaid fair
Who was killed as she sat in the morning air
All you sailors better be ware
Sitting in the Bay of 'Stow
