GOD MY SHEPHERD

When the Lord is my Shepherd
I have no need
He shows me green pastures
Where I can feed
Where restful waters run cool and clear
Only God my Shepherd can lead me here
He refreshes my soul
Kindles its flame
So that I might do right
For the sake of His Name
And when I wander in fear
From the truths I have known
Only God my Shepherd can lead me home
At the table of those who wish me ill
God grants me favor and restrains their will
He anoints with oil to ease my pain
And pours out more blessings than I can contain
May Goodness and Mercy follow as friends
And be my companions 'til journey’s end
I will live forever in the House He prepares
Only God my Shepherd can lead me there
