The slowest trickle…
The sun has risen and it’s hypnotized
These watered eyes
The souls have all left
The nest is empty and we feel so «out of place»
That’s all that happened
There’s hardly any water left around
A desert town
The sun is shining
But it evaporated molecules in space
Nothing but air falls around
Earth is crushed as we lose ground
Waiting for the sky to fall
Open arms can catch it all
Time is longest in the drought
I’m withering away in doubt
That someday we’ll find more like we
An oasis that our souls can’t see
The image ripples
Colors decaying in southwestern light
Mirage in sight
Follow adventures
On down the path and the water is displaced
The lights, they shimmer
To me they flicker in the arid night
I’ve lost the fight
It’s getting dimmer
It’s such a waste
It’s the things we should have faced
