Amazed

I kick back and I see
The way of humanity
Beauty and insanity
The circle sustains its movement endlessly
Observing man’s way
Remaining so amazed
By it’s duality
No doubt about it
Even when my mind’s clouded
I appreciate the sense of faith
The love and hate
And I shout it…
Out when I need to
Sometimes I see through
All the B.S., the strain and the stress
Then I just sing
I sometimes wonder why
A song can get me high
This music can make me cry
Yet images of war desensitize
Corruption and poverty
Can only capture the
Part of me that turns it into poetry
I stay amazed by the race I chase lies
I find them then I walk away
I’m pacified by the maze and I hate lies
But I’ll find my way
Through rhythm and rhyme
Or I’ll just sing
