How Jesus, our savior

For poor ornery people
Like you and like I

When Mary birthed Jesus

With wise men and farmers
And shepherds and all
And out of God’s heaven
A starlight did fall
And the promise of ages

If Jesus had wanted

A star in the sky

For all of God’s angels

He surely could have had it
