Fire in the Pyramid

There’s a fire in the Pyramid.
There’s dissention in the ranks.
They dragged us kicking and screaming to the dry river bed.
Go forward son and fight the good fight,
we were saints then soldiers, then just
beggers and thieves.
They took our broken Honor, and
kicked it under the leaves.
They’re just illuions on the inside.
We were testing the waters seeing how
far we could go,
folding dimentions and lost all controle.
Running on nothing the end of the year.
Our hearts exploding was all we could
hear.
And the light is fading from here,
and the road we both must walk
has all been cleared.
and when we’re beaten down
and shattered and we’re
burned up ashes scatttered
all that matters, is right in front
of me.
I see barren landscapes where
no-body
wins
I see preachers in disguise turning prophets from our sins,
«go forward son and fight the
good fight»
I was rolling in thunder I was
had no idea that what I loved was exactly what I hated.
All these Illusions on the inside.
There’s a fire in the pyramid
I can still hear the screams,
we drank the poison to kill
the bad dreams.
Running on nothing,
