We viewed the valley from the moon
And flew through hoops of pink and blue
Through my mind I took to you
And with sonic booms we swam a few lagoons
And in this instant a vivid imprint insists it’s not the same as the past

The cold was far too much for us to stand
And so we had to soar through starry lands
Up and up we drifted up again
Those curious fingers and my offered hand
And in that instant it seemed insistent to me that you and I
We could fly away
Because this has been more than a perfect day
My hopes may be drifting far too far away
Out of reach and into your embrace
I send my heart out into outer space

There is nothing tried and true
From a room with a view
I am floating next to you
So soon, it seemed we had to leave the moon
We floated down on pink and blue balloons
I drew some words just like I used to do
And towards the end I played that tune for you
