The last time I got close to death I looked it in right in the jaws
The end never visits with care, just the fury of claws
But this goddamn thing, this metal ring spiked with cold sharped fangs
I never saw the trap til it snapped, I heard when it sprang
My leg’s bent and rent frozen red I’m all blood and bone
The smell caries well here for miles, guess I’ll end it alone
