Woke up to the news that a kid was killed by the men in blue
Video was on YouTube he had a knife on the TTC
Didn’t hurt anyone he was all alone cops pulled their guns
He started talking back to one and the situation came undone
Like it can with a loaded gun
On the 505 they shot nine times Sammy Yatim died
Blood on the tracks tonight and it’s on the web worldwide
On the 505 I don’t know why he had a knife
But he didn’t owe his life and we saw it with our own eyes
Sammy was a mixed up kid from a war-torn land and he caused some shit
What was going through his head? There were people could have helped him out
