Victory

A sister stood to testify in my hotel,
As she stood to say what God had given her (What did she say?),
Well, she spoke, and ministered to me,
Word so simple, but yet, so complete.

A brother stood with eyes full of tears,
Said he’d been on drugs for oh, so many years,
Then he gave his life to Christ the King,

You and me, we have the victory.
Now, if you live a life so incomplete,
Every day, you wake to a defeat (A new defeat),
Can’t you give Jesus Christ a try?,
Then you’ll cry, yes, the victory cry.

I said,
Victory in Jesus, My saviour forever,
He sought me, and he bought me with his redeeming blood,
He loved me and I knew him,

He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood.
