Desert Kings

They said they’d come, but they did not show,
In the Desert we sat, with time to blow.
nothing left to say, there was nothing to be done,
and all we had to do was stare into the sun!
We are the Kings of The Desert, where nobody is ruled,
We are the Kings of The Desert, where everybody’s a fool,
and we don’t know where we’re going, there are a lot roads ahead of us,
and we have no way of knowing in these strange times.
Wanderlust and heartache, now it’s time to shine,
Redemption isn’t coming, we’re running out of time,
Getting lost in getting found, like cowboys on the run,
I’ve tried to shoot the devil, had no bullets in the gun.
There are no crowns there’s no gold dust, but nothing can hold us,
as we’re chasing a dream. Wonderland of the doomed, we won’t be coming home
