There’s a pile-up on the highway
Bodies lying all around
There’s moaning on the footpath
What a horrible sound!
Face goes through the windscreen
Leg goes through the door
I thought I heard somebody scream
Couldn’t be too sure
Now we’re moving in slow motion
To a piercing steering wheel
There’s chaos and commotion
The whole thing’s a bit too real
There’s a terrifying silence
And then transistor noise
Noise
Must have got a few of the boys
And I read it in the morning
It was the worst one they’d seen for years
And they didn’t even see the warning
Now they’re all mourning
Old ladies’ve got tears in their eyes
