ll be the messenger when you want to hide
hello death, I see that fly on the wall playing
dead, they sleep upon the living in this world
and we pretend that they deserve to really hear our
words, a pusher in the night sparks a flame
in time, but we punish them for their innocent blind crime,
a dictator raises to proclaim it’s place upon the mess that we all have made
lonely eyes in the cold black winter
metal spines, hearts of glass, shattered lives
an epidemic, watch us all go crazy
identify the rotten core in my minds
I’ll be the Lucifer to your glorified web
that you tangle around your perfect life
oh well, am I so negative for seeing all
your holy lies? when you dream about Jesus
Christ in your bed tonight, and you can try
to drown out all my words, and I will let you
look like the fool you are, who knew?
I would kneel upon the alter just like you,
but do you feel the same when I say I forgive you?
