The Good Time Girl

The good time girl swoops down to take me into party town
But I resist, then I protest, then I give in and I get dressed
And laughing loud she pulls my hair, saying, «Tie it up, but let it down.»
«Tonight, delight in party town.»

The dawn may have the rest of me

We’ll eat till heart’s content, wild meats to feed our merriment
Our world becomes a carrousel for paupers, kings, the ne’r do well
Tongiht we’re pirates on the open sea no quarter given for a lesson learned
