Shades of disbelief
I’m crippled by the silence of the sin
Questions you’re not answering
Eager to retreat
You can’t ignore the chains around my feet
Rage in vain I raise the stakes
Fear is etched upon your face
Stonewall
Not a word

So absurd
Spinning out the lines
On a long and lonely climb
War of ignorance
I didn’t recognize the subtle signs
Clipped the wings that tried to fly
Dignity denied
