Blue and green and gray
You’re wondering about wandering
And waiting in driveways
The Apostles dropping down
One by two by three
And I thought you might head out too
As well eventually
Swap the water for the tide
From a shaky ladder
I watched the bird’s eye
Of your brake lights disappear
Round the point into the night
Now blue’s gone back to red again
And junk mail sits unlettered
And I’d still say you’re coming back
