The Line On the Map

Resistance has gone and I’ve made up my mind
There’s no point in turning back from here
Life cant press rewind
We’re all blessed with a curse like a double edged sword
We knew the truth so early on in our youth
We could be happy and poor
And I don’t think that I would apply for a different life
A different dream
So now I’ll follow my heart, my childhood scheme
And you can’t live again so live now
And such questions of why, when and how
Are needless when chasing the wind
And you won’t get to do this again
We’ve stood by long enough, let’s make our move now
We’ll follow the road to wherever it goes
What the future allows
Let’s welcome the night like an oncoming storm
And laugh in the face of compliance and grace
Steer clear of the norm
And I don’t think that I would apply for a different life
