Hey! Mr. Moonman

Hey, the moon has turned.
Tipped his head with one concern
He’s yawning for sleep
From sunshine he sneaks
A day has passed, since his shadow cast away from you and me.
He’s bright from the day
Across the way, that shines on the other sea.
Hey Mr Moonman, why did you leave?
You’re always facing me, lighting up the sky
So, the night has come
Where’s the man we’re running from
At night time he speaks
He’s yawning for sleep
Well I’m impressed with his presence
Once again he’s on the scene
He might be afraid of being late
Or lost behind a cloudy dream.
