Books of the Moon

As the day fades out
And the night begins to fall
It’s time for me to wake
I can hear the silent call
I open up a new page
And start to write
These poems filled with sorrow
Hate and lies
I’ve seen a young man dying on a cross
I’ve seen a nation burned for a racial cause
Just watch up to the sky
When the shadows turn to blue
Feel the pain and agony
Feel it getting close to you
The wisdom of a mankind
Has made me what I am today
The one who has to tell this all
Might end up in decades

Just reject this world from me
