Amusement Park

I’m not afraid of the dark
but I am afraid of what some people do with it
I live in their amusement park
and I know what they do with that
when they’re thru with it
I lay in these ruins with my lover
she knows my face, she is very kind
I show her what I see and what I see
is hid behind another cover
I am very blind
so I lay her down and ask
as I satisfy my sex:
what comes next?
shall I follow the ghost or the face?
they both try to help me make up my mind
and I know there’s a time and a place
into which we can all someday take our minds
it’s as different as our sleep is
from the way we are right now
