I Never Do What I Should

I don’t mean to criticize,
And I can’t even tell you why,
But every word you say is a lie.
I still have a broken heart,
The thought of you I fall apart,
It’s too soon for me to even try.

Your voice makes me weak.
I should call my mama even though it’s late,
She’ll tell me what I don’t wanna hear.
I should call my best friend for my own sake,
She was with me though all of my tears.

But I never do what I should.

The damage is already done.
