Months And Years

Momentum is hard to gain in this of rain
It’s slowing us down
Not to mention the changing of faces
It’s hard to keep good people around
And I’ve been cutting away for months it seems
At a list of all my dreams
Who knows which ones I’ll reach?
Tell me that I’m not treading water here
A couple of months have turned into several years
And the plans that we made
Would promise the world would be done
Have just begun
I stayed up for hours writing you letters that I never sent
In the back of a van in Colorado
