Jim the Prophet

The early morning sounds awaken
The sounds of children laughing at play
The day’s activities commence as they always have
Its a beautiful day… the prophet will speak to us
The morning meal is a hurried event
Simple food gathered from the garden
The babies are restless calmed by their mothers song
We head out of our cottage to the pavilion
Down the walkway, we’ve made this trip a hundred times
Congressman Ryan left our settlement today
We must trust in the words of our prophet
The pigs are on their way to take away our thoughts
