The Lost Ones

How many of us are there?
Who didn’t finish high school?
Who couldn’t afford college?
Who wanted a higher education for themselves
But could not find the means to make it happen?
How many of us are there that could not find love, no matter how high are low
we look?
Be in a relationship, but not in love?
How many of us are there, who are trying to make their wildest dreams come true
in the backseat of a broke down car in a city, unfamiliar?
How many of us are there that are lost, with no direction, no guidance,
no advice, NOTHING?
How many of us are there that are trying to make a way out of no way?
How many of us are just… lost?
I don’t feel like there’s a place for us
Broken down
Life only takes from us
Why can’t we all be free to be who we all wanna be
I wanna be in control
Don’t wanna be living my life all alone
But something keeps on breaking me down
It’s suffocating me now
I want to find a place
In this big ol world
To call my own
The sun will shine on my face
