There’s a storm
Moving westward
Moving quickly
To where I am
All the boards
Guard the windows
Keeps the monster
From breathing in

As the walls cave in
They hold me down
Contemplative
And reflecting
Feel the rain pour into my lungs
Was there meaning
To my blood flow
Skin is callused
But not my soul
