Rotting flesh from under my feet
This journey has no end
It knows my pain, though still incomplete
Spreads a numbness through my eyes
I want to hide but that’ll plant a seed
A seed that grows and grows
Entangling me with every heartbeat
Oh it knows
Oh I see those birds
Longing for their homes
They’ll find all of it
Hidden in ash
Like me they still
Feel all to be
Senseless
Trees don’t lie, they always see the truth
I felt it coming back
Sunlight on my skin
Sensation of a million dragonflies
Lifting me up
