I’ve always told myself that the hate is bad
Yet sometimes it’s so hard
And this smile I wear upon my face often seems
Like a disguise
I know I have my opinions, but I never mean to hurt
It’s funny, that how the ones I love always seem to suffer

And I’ve lost myself another friend
But if people like that are so easily fazed
Then maybe they weren’t real friends in the first place
Just because one is a friend doesn’t mean you
Have to agree
In fact, a good argument can often prove to be healthy
A friend is there to share the good and to help out

And if you know someone that does then you’ve found yourself a good one
