Many years ago when I was a boy
I played in a dirt pile with my toys
Every year my grandpa and me
We went down to the jamboree
See the tractors lined up one by one
Shiny in the light of the morning sun
The people they come from miles around
To see the tractors plow the ground
Grandpa won the first prize wouldn’t you know

Heave hi, chugalug sound
Spin the flywheel ‘round and ‘round
Piston banging in the old machine
Fuel tank full of kerosene
She’s an antique souvenir
Smells like a John and runs like a Deere
Grandpa said I’m getting old
But my old tractor never sold
Pass it down the family tree
My uncle took her to the jamboree
