Healing

I could write poetry about my skin
Of all the hurt that it’s been in
I’m still a work in progress now
But work is good, I’m so proud
I somehow made it to another day
Things might just be ok
Time doesn’t scare me
If you could see what I see
You’d know, when we fall sometimes we bleed
But I’m here and I’m healing
These scars don’t canvas who I am
There’s too much left to understand
I’ll be around to tell it all
Although at times, I still feel small
There’s something finally pushing me to shore
I’m not drowning anymore
Time doesn’t scare me
If you could see what I see
You’d know, when we fall sometimes we bleed
But I’m here and I’m healing
Built a castle, on a pile of rotting flowers
It’s no so pretty
But it’s mine
It’s true that I, don’t remember how to fly
But I can see how much I’ve grown
I think it’s time to go
