When I listen to the beat I can feel the sensation
I was going through my struggle and felt the preparation

I spent day after day just practicing my flow
Building up my vocab finding words I didn’t know
Then I wrote and wrote until my wrist broke
Always stayed positive I had a lot of hope
And all my notebooks man I threw em in the trash
Hated school but I looked forward to English class
I had to start from scratch it was the best for me
Cuz I got dreams of being on MTV or even BET

Later on I started working on my metaphors and similes
Wanted to stand out so the crowd could be feeling me
I started free styling everybody around
Did what I could do just to get my name out
Cuz everybody knew me whether they liked me or not
Hating on me because I’m reaching for that #1 spot
I gained respect and realized the way I was being treated
I Battled everyone and I became undefeated
My vocab, my flow everything was in place
Over 100,000 hits on Myspace page
I was shocked, I was hype, this couldn’t be real
The only thing I’m waiting on is that record deal
I came up and I proved that the kid could spit
Struggled the whole way never gave up one bit
