Waves

When the day is all but done
And the broken pieces, gone
I’m descending with the sun
To the water I am drawn
And the clouds are rolling in
While the moon is covered up
There’s a fury in the wind
And my strength won’t be enough
On a boat upon the sea
I am tossed and I am turned
And with every swell my fear
Shows me all I’ve yet to learn
Then a whisper on my neck
Echoes deep within my soul
Saying do not be afraid
Like a voice I used to know
