Meadow By the Sea

lately i’ve been wanting to sleep, more than i need
the dream state holds the key that will finally free
the chains that hold my heart down at my feet
seems the only place i wanna be is in a lonely dream
so i fall into, a place where i see you
i dont need to try, just close my eyes
there’s a meadow by the sea
she walks to the beach
the sun hazily, gleaming upon her
naturally, the fields of green turn to colors only seen in some dream before
that i once knew, and i hope to see again
every hour she walks through the flowers
that are blooming to see her, because they adore the way she moves,
the smile she makes creates the air love feeling everywhere
that i once knew, and i hope to see again
gypsy lady in my dream, follow me to reality
to my earthly home and see what we could be
when im not asleep
surely i see you, i feel you, i hear my heart booming in my chest,
beating and im sweating
and here comes the sun, but its not the same one from the meadow i’ve begun to
love as my own
that i once knew, and i hope to — feel again
