Build up my defenses

Questions with no answers
Have I paid enough?

Cynical romances
Am I really bound to burn?
Life’s tried to kill me
But I’m dead since long
She’s tried to save me
But I’ve gone too far
She’s tried to school me
But I’m way too dumb
Until she breaks me, WRECKS me
I should be dead by now
My bane is always taking chances
Broken life commences
And I can’t get enough
