Fake Doors

The silence drowns
Our world like underwater sounds
The sky above
Without a motion in the clouds
I’m washed away
All of my thoughts have gone astray
Within the bay
As empty shells without a name
Suddenly the story folds
Of a world we used to know
Not a lesson to be taught
The curtain falls, we come undone
My inner sense is gone
You swear you’ll be okay
While we await the sun
To shine on our mistakes
Your headlights shut
And turn their back before the dark
Caught up in thoughts
Lik 'we would never walk this path'
So hid my notes
Deep in the cupboard to your toes
Right where you know
They’re far too close to let them go
