Simple City

Everyday I find myself in a struggle
Living in a modernized bubble
I try to get along, try to stay out of trouble
But it’s hard when I’m living in a concrete jungle
And when I go to the grocery store
It’s hard for me to find what I’m looking for
They don’t care about me anymore
They don’t care about we anymore
I said the industry — it’s killing me
It’s making things more difficult than they’ve gotta be
They care more about money than about my body
More about power than about energy

I wanna live in a simple city
Where there’s a garden with enough to feed my people in it

As long as we’ve got what we need
I believe in a land where everyone begins to understand
Mother nature is the teacher — learning from every creature
Not concerning ourselves with money because it is the great deceiver
And sometimes I forget — The whole monetary system is arisen out of debt
Imagine if we all gave what we get — If we got what we gave it would be
different
