Monk's Hood

I didn’t think I’d stay
Wasting the weeks and days
Life was all squares and grays
Field mice and birds of prey
Take a sandwich off the tray
Proceed to chewing
I tend to frighten friends away
Drove down to the coast in the rain
Took a look across the bay
At the sea gulls in the lingering rays
«Throw the credit cards away.»
