Movie Girl

She wakes up at lunch time not knowing where she is
there might be a man lying next but so far we don’t see him
If there are cigarettes on the floor she lights up one
if there’s whisky left in the glass she drinks it just for fun
But if it’s sunny she puts on her pink bath robe
and starts a better day with fresh coffee and toast
No matter if he’s there no matter if he’s gone
she doesn’t mind spending this day all alone

Maybe she even goes back to bed before anything is said
