I’m so sorry, Rose, I didn’t mean to die,
I didn’t mean to leave you with a different-looking guy.
But I promise you, it still is me inside,
I haven’t changed all that much, even though I’ve gone and died.
How I look now is something that I can’t control,
It’s something I’ve been used to now for years,
My hair is big now, on my back I’ve got a mole…
I can’t believe you liked my former ears.

I remember every detail of the things we’ve done,
The lives we’ve saved, the monsters who’ve attacked,
And every single moment was fantastic fun…
Except, perhaps, the Daleks coming back.
I’m ready to leave, I’m hoping that you’ll come.
