Please bring out the life in me
I’ve been making mistake after mistake by waiting
Rid me of all I see, the black and white
Fill me up with color
A new light
Neck deep in possibilities
Of the words I seek
To tell you a story only I don’t want it to be about me
Trying so hard to find a way to speak my mind
Just to realize I’m not trying at all
You’re not trying at all
Forty six days until we put it all together
Rephrase and rearrange the noise and these letters
So what’s the point in putting this pen to this paper?
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t doing this for myself
But I’m not trying at all
