I met a woman dancing in the park
She said, «Child, you sure bubble hate
«All you’ll ever make is enemies
«You should have been a murderer»
A man crashed his bike into a fountain
Got up and looked me in the eyes
Said, «Who you fooling with that disguise?
«I can spot a murderer»
What do these people know?
They’re not kind unless there’s blood on the line
Can’t sleep at night; it runs through my mind
They don’t deserve me as a murderer
A crowd gathered at the entrance way
Men on a stage began a chant
Through the noise I heard them say
«Admit it, you’re a murderer»
That dancer could have fell on her head
Maybe the men drank too much
What was the kid on the swing’s excuse when they said
«There goes a murderer»?
What do these people know?
