Stains of hatred cloud the eyes
And the reason
Marks embroidered on the soul
Undelible
Words resound between the ears
Voices echo
How could you? What have you done?
Can’t believe it
Such a lost cause, holding out
Or ignoring
All the movies in my mind
Still repeating
Sounds and faces, facts and lies
Come together
Phantoms of a past gone by
Yet unable to surrender
Shadows at the edge of perception
Mirrors of your life of deception
Feelings deadly cold but however
Lies that you’ve been told hurt forevermore
Hearing whispers in my head
That’s a bad joke
Seeing your shape on the wall
That’s a worse joke
Feeling that again for you
Flesh is crawling
That’s the worst joke of 'em all
It’s a nightmare never ending
