Sitting on a stairwell on the Upper East Side
Oh Jack watches as a poodle in it’s mink stroll by
The skies turns to grey as old Jack he turns away
Knowin' that poodle probably eats better than most cats in this town
And he wants to leave but he knows he is bound
To open shelters wherever they may be found

In New York City, his friends can be found
