An identity based on what you’re told to buy
Self indulgent behaviour to mask the fear inside
Don’t want to be isolated or left behind
As you live to consume, waste, pollute and die
What your life lacks you could never buy
The mask you wear is such a weak disguise
I can still see your face through the cloud of lies
Bite your tongue and swallow your pride
But there’s no satisfaction and this image dies
Just a hollow shell nothing left inside
