There is something that I need to get out of me
Though I don’t know where I take it from
Maybe it’s the folly of youth
Or maybe it’s just what I’ve become
But John Muir, what an incredible life
And I hope that you can find it
In your heart to pass it on
Heart-strings and break-ups, crying in your tea cups
And things of that capacity
It hurts because we know too much
And I wrote this on the back of a paper bag
That I don’t know if we’ll get to where we’re going to
