In a world where nothing’s real
My dreams have come to die
Where fantasy reigns on a cosmic plane
And fire burns the sky
Something about this place
Will never be the same
After the reign, such a cosmic shame
To never return again
A stone flies through the door
It shatters in
A mother cries, a sister screams
The villain’s sin
Leaving me with an emptiness buried deep within
A place of wretched joy
A kingdom come
To mirror fear
A helpless boy, a mother’s son
Looking down the barrel of a revolving gun
Something about this place
Will never be the same
After the rain, such a cosmic shame
To never return
From an innocent child
To a jaded youth
I’ve been defiled by the truth, yeah
A beam of light off the pearly hilt
Struck my eye as it kept me still
He demanded what my father built
A yellow-belly with a blackened will
Silent animals speak
And dragon’s cry
No longer do I seek
Where the puppets come alive
He’s out there still
