November Night

Flashing lights and colours bright
A full moon lighting up the night
Visible from the window of our room
Where the whole wide world is just us two
People say the night is young and so are we
But were not getting any younger
We could always go outside and party
But whats the fun in that when we could just be
Singing a lullaby (for the night)
Closing our eyes (for the night)
Holding each other so tight
On this November night
While the world is dressed up nicely
Staying up and socialising
We’ve got droopy eyes and butterflies
Spilling secrets, dreams and frights
The city never sleeps and neither do we
But late night doesn’t always mean we have to leave
We could always go outside and party
